ORV'S MARKETPLACE opened in 2018, serving delicious sandwiches made on fresh baked bread, a full service espresso bar and pressed juices, sweets & baked goods including handmade macaroons and cheesecakes, all to fuel your long drive. Our menu also satisfies special dietary needs, from gluten free to dairy-free, vegetarian to vegan and pescatarian… we got you!
You will also find hand selected, small batch products, healthy snacks and local specialty foods, such as hot sauce, bbq rubs, olive oils, vinegars, and everything you need for your cheese & charcuterie board, and a stellar selection of wine. Our History
Orv's Farm Market is an expansion of our original store, Orv's, which was opened by Orv and his wife, Dorothy, in 1993. In 2018, the family has expanded to a second store and additional amenities; which has made Orv's a destination on the crossroads of Highway 20 and I-5.
Orv's Story
Orv was born in Poteau, Oklahoma in 1933 and is the youngest of seven children. Dispite growing up very poor, his ambitious dreams of a better life lead him saving enough money to buy a one-way, west bound train to California at the age of 16 and off he went. Orv's natural entrepreneurial talents coupled with his limitless drive lead to the success of his true American dream, Orv's.
The Truck
The vintage '65 Ford truck was Orv's truck. Rather than refinishing the truck and keeping it parked inside a garage for the occasional Sunday drive, we decided to build the truck into the new store as a tribute to our grandfather and his legacy. We have an abundance of fond road trips memories in that old truck. It always reminds us of what Orv valued and lived for; family, friends and food.
The Legacy
As a family owned and operated business for three generations, we are immensely proud to carry on the legacy of our grandparent's Orv and Dorothy. We are also very grateful for a team of people who make Orv's a place that feels like home and for you, our customers, who patronize the family business that we love so much!
